        Walking down a country lane
After gambling my money once again
Loads of nonsense in my head
If this is life, I’d rather be dead
Why do I do it, goodness knows
        Manic gambling ebbs and flows
Round and round time and again
        Seeming oblivious to the pain.
That was me at 16 years old
Nothing could stop me, I wouldn’t be told
Thirty years later, here I sit.
I could waste away in this festering pit.
        My life’s been do lally
        For far too long
        I’ve made my decision,
        This can’t go on
        Starting again?
        I don’t think so,
        I am just going back
To the things that I know.Recovery is priceless.
