unhappy, hopeless, tired and worn
these words crash around
attacking me……
pulling me down
I hang on
fighting the assault
resisting and twisting
these feelings are not my fault

pushing it all away
kicking and punching
I am tough and will not sway

building a blockade
hiding behind the walls

digging a trench
lying down inside
