It all started when I was just sixteen

The dangers could not be seen

The first bet was just for fun

But that was when the damage was done

If only my dad had guided this boy

And warned me of the life it would destroy

I wouldn’t be looking back with such remorse

Of all that money I have lost to a single horse

Today is the day that my future begins

Living each day free from sins

I’ll do all I can and will not give in

Stand up proud and my life I’ll start living.
