We have an exciting opportunity for a Retreat and Counselling Administrator, to provide effective administrative support to the established Retreat and Counselling Rehabilitation Programme in a way that enables clients to overcome their addiction to gambling and move forward to recovery and independent living.

We provide a 4-stage treatment package combining 2 therapeutic residential stays with 2 stages of community treatment lasting a total of 12 weeks.

Position: Retreat and Counselling Administrator

Location: Nationwide

Salary: £20,000 per annum

Hours: 25 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

Benefits: 28 days’ annual leave, 6% pension contribution, occupational sick pay, eye care vouchers.

About the Role

As a Retreat and Counselling Administrator, you will provide support to Outreach Workers and Therapists in collecting information from participants prior to their induction into treatment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • To liaise with venues around the requirements of participants and support with travel arrangements where needed.
  • To complete administrative tasks required for the preparation of each programme.
  • To compile basic data as and when required around attendance and delivery of the programmes.
  • To liaise with previous participants when media or research requests are received as well as collecting longitudinal data to evidence outcomes.
  • To complete group notes on client management system as needed.
  • To assist and provide advocacy for participants with communication issues where appropriate.
  • To support the therapists in the delivery of the Programme, such as through co-facilitating or covering practical group sessions.
  • To support development of the Programme though evaluation, continuous improvement and development projects as necessary.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to use Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook Email & Calendar
  • Strong attention to detail required
  • Ability to learn and pick new things up quickly
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong administration skills required
  • Ability to handle crisis situations and work flexibly to meet

Desirable Skills

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Previous Charity or Third Sector experience
