A definition
Lonely is not to be alone,
Lonely is not about having a friend
To talk to on the phone.
Lonely is not about people,
Lonely is not physical,
But certainly is admissible.
Loneliness that lives within,
A loneliness that is in the depths
Of being, always unseeing.
Loneliness fails to connect,
Tends to live to protect,
From all that reflects.
Transformed into solitude,
Where in that recess nothing
Can intrude.
