Why didn’t I listen when Charles said stop
Get rid of the cards and even laptop
Let someone else take care of that money
If I had listened I would be in honey

Why didn’t I listen when Charles said wait
That next bet doesn’t have to be fate
Put things in place, set barriers high
And I promise that urge to gamble will die

Why didn’t I listen when Charles said self-ban
From every casino online and on land
Find new things to do to fill up your time
Things you deserve -good food and good wine

        I listened, I heard , I chose to ignore
I knew the script score by score
For those who struggle here’s the plan
It’s never too late to stop, wait and ban
