What is recovery we ask ourselves?
Inside our minds we have to delve.
It’s what WE want that makes us strive
We know there must be a better life.
For each its’ different, and has to be,
It’s a pathway leading to a life that’s free,
of daily worries, the hurt, the pain,
this addiction knowing what it can gain.
It’s won’t be easy, we know the score,
self determination, and strength is needed for sure.
If our guard should fail, it finds a window in,
then, once more, destruction begins.
Stay strong my friends it’s all worthwhile,
Recovery certainly is a different lifestyle.
