Once a week I do not know

Who I’ll meet or who I’ll know

Some are friends, some are not

      That though really matters not

Because I know that we all share

The addiction that has brought us there

Where I once thought I was weak

I find that I’m now proud to speak

Of  things I’ve done, the things I do

Of the past and of life anew

Looking round the room I know

That I’d be foolish not to go

It’s the place I need to be

Because it’s the place that sets me free

Who’d have thought it, who’d have known

From that room my life has grown
